ASACP Names Featured Sponsors for March, 2014
LOS ANGELES (March 4, 2014) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is happy to announce its Featured Sponsors for the month of March, 2014, honoring those dedicated supporters that enable the association to carry out its vital task.
According to ASACP Executive Director, Tim Henning, industry-leading adult entertainment companies are taking positive steps to help keep children out of and away from online adult entertainment and other age-inappropriate content by supporting ASACP and employing the tools it offers such as the Restricted To Adults (RTA) label that refines current parental filters.
“ASACP’s Sponsor Recognition Program continues to honor the providers of adult-oriented content and services that have responsibly supported and enabled the association’s mission over the years,” Henning explains. “Without this help, we would not be able to effectively work on behalf of the global adult entertainment industry and other media stakeholders.”
“Proactive self-regulation and corporate responsibility are the first steps that adult companies need to take in order to protect their own business interests,” Henning adds. “Nowhere is this more vital than in keeping underage users from material intended for ‘adults only’ — and this is where ASACP serves as a trusted a partner and advisor.”
For March, ASACP recognizes AdultCentro, Gamma Entertainment and EPG Bill as its Featured Sponsors:
AdultCentro
A recent ASACP Title Sponsor that has backed the association since 2012, AdultCentro offers various services for adult content creators and publishers. For example, its AC Publisher tool allows users to build a complete site or insert content feeds into an existing site; while the AC Marketplace service brings content buyers and sellers together. AC Cloud allows its users to distribute and monetize their content, for a full service offering.
Together, these tools from AdultCentro provide a complete ecosystem for adult entertainment companies, performers and promoters to bring their wares to market and as such sits on the front line of online child protection.
“We at AdultCentro believe that ASACP’s protection of children from adult content and abuse is a vital service that we’re more than happy to support, as it’s a worthy cause,” says AdultCentro CEO Stan Fiskin, underscoring the determination of legitimate adult content company owners to “do the right thing.”
Gamma Entertainment
An ASACP Corporate Sponsor since 2006, Montreal-based Gamma Entertainment illustrates the commitment that the online adult entertainment industry’s most prominent players make to keeping children out of and away from adult entertainment.
According to the company, Gamma has grown from a home-based business with a single website to become a major force in the adult industry, boasting nearly 60 full time employees. Gamma attributes its growth to the use of cutting edge technology and adherence to four basic principals: honesty, respect, reliability, and an up-front way of doing business that has been the bedrock of its success.
Gamma demonstrates its leadership by using the RTA website meta-label to protect its sites and by donating rack space for two ASACP-owned servers located in the Gamma data center, providing useful material and technical support, as well as financial aid, for the association.
EPG Bill
Another recent ASACP Corporate Sponsor now celebrating its second year of support for the association, EPG Bill is a certified Internet Payment Service Provider based in Frankfurt, Germany, which sets up and supervises accounts and online payment systems for a diverse range of e-commerce businesses, including those in the adult entertainment space.
According to EPG Bill, the monetary aspect of e-commerce is its core business, and requires a maximum amount of mutual trust — which it achieves partly via consistent risk management; enabling clients to concentrate on their actual business goals. As such, the company is not in the business of providing content, but of support services. In this regard, EPG Bill is able to apply common sense policies in regard to online child protection as part of its client website review process — bringing a level of oversight and meticulous, self-critical analysis to the offers of online content providers.
From adult content to consumer websites to payment processing, the companies highlighted as this month’s Featured Sponsors are an indicator of the wide ranging support that legitimate players in the online adult entertainment industry extend to ASACP. Through self-regulation including the use of the RTA label, and abiding by ASACP’s Best Practices, Code of Ethics and spirit of social responsibility, adult digital media companies really can make a difference in the quest for online child safety — but this will only happen with your continuing support.
