LOS ANGELES (March 28, 2011) — The Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection (ASACP) is pleased to announce the release of its latest public service announcement (PSA) for the Restricted To Adults (RTA) website label, featuring 2011 AVN Awards hosts Riley Steele and Tori Black.

The PSA features Black and Steele reminding companies to protect children and to protect their business by labeling with RTA and it may now be viewed on the ASACP YouTube Channel (www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGYuW60LyRM).

RTA is the adult entertainment industry’s proactive initiative to protect children from viewing age-restricted content and was developed by ASACP out of a need for an easy to use and internationally recognized labeling system that designates content for adults only. The RTA label is composed of a unique string of meta-data that is easily inserted into the coding of any website. Parental filtering software recognizes this label, preventing children from viewing adult content. The RTA label is free and universally available. ASACP launched RTA in November 2006, and to date, more than 4.5 million websites have voluntarily labeled with RTA; accounting for more than 20 billion monthly page views (www.rtalabel.org/rtapaper/rta-label-paper-final.pdf).

The ongoing RTA PSA series features popular performers and adult industry leaders discussing the need for proactive responsibility and the use of the RTA meta-label. Previous RTA PSAs featured Ron Jeremy, Stormy Daniels, Sunny Leone, Chi Chi LaRue, Tera Patrick and Evan Seinfeld, Kayden Kross and Kristen Price, Allison Vivas, Catalina Cruz and Mickey Bojcsik.

Black, Steele and AVN donated their valuable time and resources to create the PSA, which was first unveiled during the AVN Awards on January 8, at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas.

Irvine attended the AVN Awards and Internext Expo, where she answered questions regarding the RTA labeling initiative and how online child protection is in the industry’s best interest.

The ASACP RTA program has received many accolades, including being honored by the American Society of Association Executives and the Center for Association Leadership, being named the 2008 overall winner of the Associations Make a Better World award. ASACP has received Certificates of Recognition from the U.S. House of Representatives, California State Senate, California State Assembly, and the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, West Hollywood, and Redondo Beach, acknowledging its efforts to help parents prevent children from viewing age-restricted content.
