ASACP Honors XBIZ, AVN, BongaCams as February Featured Sponsors

LOS ANGELES (February 1, 2022) — ASACP, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection, is pleased to name noted industry leaders XBIZ, AVN Media Network, and BongaCams as its Featured Sponsors for 2022.

Among the industry’s most respected companies, ASACP’s Featured Sponsors serve as inspiring examples of how corporate responsibility, ethical business operation, and a range of simple measures help protect minors and other online users from accidental exposure to age-restricted materials.

According to ASACP Executive Director Tim Henning, the nonprofit association relies on those companies and organizations willing to assume a proactive role in the fight to keep children out of and away from adult-oriented materials.

“This month, the association recognizes several of its most stalwart supporters, serving as prime examples of the relationships we’ve nurtured for the good of the community and the benefit of the children,” Henning said. “By supporting ASACP and its initiatives, our broad family of sponsors enables us to raise awareness and provide solutions to the challenges of today’s emerging virtual worlds and more.”

“It is only through expanding and nurturing our partnerships and programs that the association can improve the safety of children online,” Henning added. “Now is the time for everyone in the industry to join forces with the leaders and support the incredible work that ASACP does.”

ASACP’s successes stem from its sponsors’ generous guidance and support, such as XBIZ, AVN Media Network, and BongaCams. These successes include free child protection resources, market-specific Best Practices, and a comprehensive Code of Ethics for businesses, app publishers, and age-restricted websites.

At the pinnacle of ASACP’s achievements are its RTA (Restricted To Adults) meta-labeling system that helps prevent children’s access to adult-oriented web pages; and its CP Reporting Tipline, which has processed more than 1 million reports.

As with all of ASACP’s services, these tools are free of charge, thanks to the ongoing generosity of the association’s family of sponsors — including February’s Featured Sponsors — XBIZ, AVN Media Network, and BongaCams.

XBIZ

A founding Platinum Sponsor since 2002, XBIZ has enjoyed a long and vital relationship with ASACP, with Alec Helmy founding both organizations.

XBIZ is the industry source for news and information, providing up-to-the-minute coverage of the latest in adult entertainment at XBIZ.com and in two monthly print publications — XBIZ World for the digital media market and XBIZ Premiere for the retail and intimate products markets. In addition, XBIZ hosts multiple annual events in Los Angeles, Miami, and Berlin, including the prestigious red-carpet gala XBIZ Awards, XBIZ Cam Awards, XBIZ Europa Awards, and XBIZ Exec Awards, as well as consumer-facing events targeting sexual wellness.

With its broad experience of the industry’s issues, XBIZ helps spearhead efforts to protect children online, underscoring the need to keep minors out of and away from adult-oriented content, products, and services by promoting corporate responsibility and proactive business practices.

AVN Media Network

A Platinum Sponsor since 2002, the AVN Media Network has a long and generous history of support for ASACP and its noble mission. The company is the definitive source for adult entertainment news and information covering the evolution of this multibillion-dollar global industry. AVN helps set the standard for the business of pleasure by delivering unparalleled content reaching industry professionals, mainstream media, and a diverse spectrum of consumer groups and communities.

AVN protects children from accessing adult-oriented material on its websites by utilizing RTA labeling as a proactive protective measure. It has also been generous to the association financially and through material support, extending its hospitality at AVN events by providing advertising services, underwriting hotel accommodations, and participating in ASACP’s Advisory Council.

BongaCams

As a trusted ASACP Title Sponsor since 2016, live adult cam platform BongaCams takes the protection of children online very seriously.

“Since children might not only visit adult content websites but also attempt to become paid performers, we take extra care to ensure they do not receive this opportunity,” said a BongaCams spokesperson. “Our collaboration with ASACP is based on BongaCams’ aspiration to prevent child exploitation on the internet, and we do our best to secure their safety online.”

“BongaCams strictly prohibits streaming or uploading pedophilic content and takes on the obligation to contact relevant authorities if such activity is suspected. Thanks to ASACP’s support, the general public also has the opportunity to report on any questionable content and thus minimize the spread of child pornography,” the spokesperson explained. “The service provided by ASACP is fully anonymous, so BongaCams’ visitors can feel safe reporting any suspicious videos — and therefore the fight against child exploitation will be maximally effective.”

“ASACP thanks XBIZ, AVN Media Network, and BongaCams, for these companies’ outstanding commitment, generosity, and long-term leadership in supporting the association and its mission to protect children’s daily digital lives,” Henning said. “ASACP’s family of sponsors are united in pursuing this goal and represent the best that the industry has to offer. We encourage other digital media brands and their service providers to step up and join us in building a better future for all of us.”
